Liverpool's No.1 Hit Music StationCapital Liverpool is an independent local radio station broadcasting in the 107.6 MHz frequency in Liverpool, England. It is owned and operated by Global as part of the Capital network.
Previously, this station was known as Crash FM and it was launched on 27 March 1998 from studios at 27 Fleet Street in Liverpool. It was relaunched as Juice 107.6 on 26 March 2000. In September 2003 it was sold to a consortium made up of UTV Media and Eurocast, Absolute Radio (UK) Limited (AR-UK) for £3.1m. In less than 2 years the station was sold to UTV and on 5 June 2015, Juice FM was sold again to Global for £10 million.
Today, Capital Liverpool still belongs to Global. All local programming is produced and broadcast from Global's Liverpool studios, while networked programming originates from Global's London headquarters.
